here are a few festivities that i took part in over the weekend.
of course we celebrated cinco de mayo by going to our favorite mexican resteraunt. you would not believe how much begging i had to do to get the mr. to pose for this photo haha!
we attended the 70th birthday party for
mr. lynn carlson. boy was that a good time. if you have never met lynn, you are missing out. this man has stories and experiences to boot!
for example... this fancy gold sequined jacket that you see
mr. bo huff wearing belongs to lynn. now lynn told me that this jacket was custom made for him by elvis's (yes, THE elvis) taylor. very strange, i know.
lynn had a wonderful live band play in one of his many garages. there was dancing, and beer, and a room of mirrors, and a hotrod limo, and an amazing strawberry cake, and ping pong, and very strange people, and cops, and much, much more. all in all, a very good birthday bash!
we also attended a "car show" this past weekend. now, let me just say that i had very high hopes for this show because i absolutely loved the idea: a creepy car show at a haunted house where pin-ups would be zombified and bloody. whats not to love about that!
lets just say that it did not turn out to be everything i dreamed. but it was not a complete waste of time because i was able to see and touch this beauty.
a beautiful buick hearse is now officially on my dream car list!
this car show was advertised as a "first annual". i can only hope that the organizers up their game next year because i think it could be really amazing!
xoxo
